Best rosé wine
Château Miraval Rosé
The Miraval brand is probably best known for its Brangelina connection (the former couple owned the château and vineyard located in the village of Correns, though Jolie has since sold her stake), however this organic blush from Provence is so much more than its celebrity story.
It’s a blend of old vine grapes (cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle — aka vermentino), which creates a more intense flavour. Our panel adored the candied strawberry profile, noting refreshing acidity that would pair well with a Mediterranean spread.

Runner-up rosé
Mirabeau Pure Provence Rosé
Created using largely the same grape varietals as Miravel (above), Mirabeau’s flagship rosé provokes a similar taste of Provence. One glass is never enough — it’s a stay-all-day in the sunshine kind of wine — with testers enjoying ripe strawberry, raspberry and peach notes, and refreshingly smooth citrus.
Alternatively, Mirabeau's Nude Pink is a tasty blush made using organic grapes and bottled in 100% recycled glass.
