From May 10-16, the UK will be marking Mental Health Awareness Week 2021.

If you've taken the steps to get support and help, keep going. One tool you might find useful is by who you follow on Instagram. While Instagram and social media do not always go hand-in-hand with positive mental health, it can also be used as a hub for mental health quotes, advice and tips.

If the number of followers Matt Haig, author of Reasons To Stay Alive, poet Charly Cox and the amazing fundraising work Black Minds Matter UK managed to achieve are anything to go by, it can show how much people value practical tips, reassuring quotes and words of encouragement when taking those steps to overcome mental illness.

These are some of our favourite mental health quotes that are sure to remind you of your own strength.
