June
For much of the series, we've seen June make multiple successful and unsuccessful attempts to be reunited with her eldest daughter, Hannah. Unfortunately June does not get the mother-daughter reunion that she was hoping for, however, it is made clear that she will not give up on locating Hannah.
As for her relationship with Luke, the pair amicably agree to split up due to differing views on how to take down Gilead.
Throughout the final epsiode, June delivers a heart-wrenching epilogue which sees her commenting on the United States invading Gilead and taking Boston back as an American city as well as a flashback to the very first episode, as she imagines the first time she ever came across the Waterford property.
Janine
As the vast majority of Janine's time in Gilead has been marked by pain and torment, fans of the series were shocked to see her receive a fairly happy ending. In the final episode, Janine is freed from Gilead by Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) and her former owner, Naomi (Ever Carradine). She is taken to Boston with her child, where they will go and live with U.S. representatives.
Serena
The last time viewers see Serena, she had completely lost all status as as a Commander's wife and as an advocate for traditional gender roles. She is now a stateless refuge, living in a shelter with her newborn baby, Noah. The last time we see her, she's telling him that she he is all that she needs.
Do Luke and June stay together?
While fans of the couple were hoping to see the pair finally reunite and see eye to eye, the series' finale had other plans in store for the on-and-off again couple. While it is clear that the couple have residual feelings for one another, their beliefs on how to fight against Gilead pull them apart. June is still set on freeing the remaining girls in Gilead, while Luke would rather be involved with guerilla fighting.
Upon coming to this realisation, the pair share a non physical embrace, agreeing that they will meet again at a later point.
Moira
Although Moira was involved in much of the Mayday resistance group throughout the season, her end, whether good or bad was not made clear.
