If there’s one thing we love more than watching You season four right now, figuring out which jeans styles suit us best, and the chicest camel coat to buy for spring, it’s a new celebrity doppelgänger duo to analyse.

For years we’ve had to make do with ‘twins’ Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry, Emma Watson and Kiernan Shipka, and Isla Fisher and Amy Adams giving us Twilight Zone vibes. So you can imagine our glee when we learnt who Daisy Jones & The Six star Camila Morrone regularly gets mistake for nowadays. And, we promise you, once you see this celebrity pairing you’ll never be able to 'unsee' it.

‘I’m getting Anne Hathaway almost daily now,’ the actor, who previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio, stated. ‘I was at the airport and the paparazzi were just…,’ said Morrone, with her Daisy Jones co-star Suki Waterhouse adding: ‘Someone kept screaming at her and she had no idea.’

‘I was thinking this guy has no idea who I am, and then I realised oh, he thinks I’m Anne Hathaway. I’ll take it – she’s kind of major.’

The pair recently joined ELLE UK for a game of Knowing Me, Knowing You ahead of the release of the Reese Witherspoon executive-produced TV adaptation of the novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. In the show, the real-life friends star opposite fellow actors Riley Keough (Daisy Jones), Sam Claflin (Billy Dunne), Will Harrison (Graham Dunne), Josh Whitehouse (Eddie Roundtree), Sebastian Chacon (Warren Rojas) and Timothy Olyphant (Rod Reyes).

Waterhouse – who plays keyboardist Karen Sirko in the show – correctly guessed that her co-star Morrone had performed ‘Shallow’ in karaoke with Adele, recalling that she had heard the star sang in front of the likes of Kate Hudson at the party. ‘I’m a shameless karaoke gal,’ Morrone joked, ‘one martini and I’ll sing for anyone’.

When it came to choosing to be BFFs with Adele, Beyoncé or Lizzo, the pair agreed the Tottenham-raised Grammy winner would be ‘so fun’. ‘I’ve hung with her and she’s so fun,’ noted Morrone, who stars as Camila Dunne, Billy Dunne’s wife in the TV Show. ‘She’s just cool, Adele. But I’d definitely be friends with Beyoncé too if she wanted to hang.’

‘I just don’t think she’d want to be friends with us,’ added Waterhouse. ‘She’d be like “get security, get them away from us”. I actually had an encounter with Beyoncé,’ recalled Morrone. ‘And I embarrassed myself pretty badly.’

Waterhouse recalled a beauty faux pas on set that resulted in the TV show's editing team having to use CGI on her face. ‘We had to go at 4am to the middle of Joshua Tree to go up a mountain to do the Aurora cover shoot, which was a big scene, and I had actually been sent skin products and it was late at night and I thought I want to look nice tomorrow, so I put on this foaming peel and I remember thinking oh, this really hurts.

‘Anyway, I woke up the next morning and I didn’t even look in the mirror because I was going straight to work and I have a picture of this somewhere, and my whole face was red and burnt, and they had to CGI my whole face. It was just horrendous.’

Elsewhere the pair correctly guessed that Waterhouse has a ‘signed’ photograph of Julia Roberts she bought from eBay in her apartment, as well as knowing that Timothy Olyphant is related to TV presenter Anderson Cooper.
