Dakota Johnson has given fans a glimpse into her 'cosy and private' life with partner Chris Martin after the singer crashed one of her work Zoom calls.
The 32-year-old actor, who's been dating the Coldplay frontman since 2017, recently told ELLE UK: 'We’ve been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cosy and private. Most of the partying takes place inside my house.'
And now the pair's relationship has caught our attention for a different reason.
Earlier this week Johnson was taking part in a virtual Q&A session via Zoom to discuss her film Cha Cha Real Smooth during the Sundance Film Festival. But it was Martin's unexpected appearance in the video call that's got people talking.
After being introduced to the attendees, Johnson appeared on screen alongside Martin for a brief moment. The singer was seemingly helping his partner resolve technical difficulties, and his appearance on the call prompted Johnson to burst into laughter.
Martin then stood up and made a peace sign hand gesture for those on the video call to see as Johnson continued to laugh.
'Hello, welcome welcome. Peace,' said festival programmer Charlie Sextro, as Martin headed out of the room while playfully maintaining his hand gesture.
Since the video clip has been released, the reaction from fans has been unsurprisingly superb.
One fan tweeted: 'Not me crying over Chris Martin appearing in Dakota Johnson zoom meeting I love them so much [sic].'
Another wrote: 'Chris Martin just peaced out of the room while Dakota Johnson laughed during the Cha Cha Real Smooth Q&A at Sundance I’m crying!!! [sic]'
Johnson, who previously told us that she feels 'both 48 and 26', has also been in the spotlight recently for speaking about her personal thoughts ahead of her psychological drama The Lost Daughter's release earlier this year.
The Gucci campaign star, who plays a young mother in the film, which depicts complicated feelings towards motherhood, told The Times: 'For somebody like me, who isn’t yet a mother and maybe doesn’t want to be a mother, it makes that OK. Complicated, but OK.'
'It would also be cool if Cambridge [university] offered to freeze eggs. With technology, you can have a biological child until you’re 50. That’s cool.'
In 2018, during an interview with US Weekly, the Fifty Shades star addressed rumours speculating that she was expecting a baby.
'Well, the only thing I'm pregnant with is a lot of really good ideas. But not any babies,' she said.
And the actor's 'endless ambition', as her TeaTime Pictures Partner Katie O’Connell Marsh called it when speaking to the LA Times this month, is clear for all to see. Johnson, who's discussed her difficulty with getting undressed on set, told the LA Times that her roles don't reflect her, yet she seemingly identifies with the women she plays.
This train of thought resonates with what she recently told The Hollywood Reporter regarding her role in The Lost Daughter. 'I am not a mother, but I know what it feels like to be scared or to be like, "Will I be a good mother?"' she said.
