Soon enough, someone in the local area - a YouTuber called Chris Klemens - responded saying he had three romaine lettuces in a pack and was willing to trade in exchange for some homemade banana bread.

After verifying Klemens' claim, Teigen said she would be in his 'area' to make the social distancing exchange happen.

However, not before Teigen's husband John Legend piped up to say that he did not want to miss out on his wife's banana bread, leading Teigen to go back with a revised offer of half a banana bread, two slices of pie and a bottle of wine.

On Tuesday, the star updated her 12.5 million followers with footage of her and Legend going to meet Klemens and his roommate and fellow YouTuber Andrew Lowe for the trade, which was conducted with significant space between the two duos via a mini toy car.

Klemens snapped a selfie of the quartet - where Teigen can be seen cradling her pack of lettuce - with the model re-posting and admitting: 'It was so hard not to hug you both.'

Teigen and Legend are just a couple of the celebrities who have been striving to entertain their quarantined and self-isolated fans amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, Legend live-streamed a free concert on Instagram, where he was joined by a towel-clad Teigen who sipped rose while he performed a medley of his best hits.
