We can expect to see Priyanka Chopra on our small screens very soon; she's just landed a starring role in a new Netflix film.
Chopra revealed she has been cast in The White Tiger, an adaptation of the Man Booker prize-winning novel by Aravind Adiga. The book tells the story of a young village boy, Balram Halwai, who seeks a life of freedom outside of the impoverished India he was born into.
Chopra will both star in and executive produce the film, according to Metro. She’ll work alongside co-stars Rajkummar Rao and newcomer Adarsh Gourav, while Ramin Bahrani will write and direct.
