Some university students were also pretty excited by the visit:
Meghan is at the Association of Commonwealth Universities to meet with students and academics from across the ACU’s network. She is meeting students from the Commonwealth now studying in the UK, for whom access to university has transformed their lives.
The visit follows the announcement that Meghan has been given four new patronages by the Queen. And yesterday she stepped out for her first official engagement as royal patron of the National Theatre.
During her visit, Meghan joined a workshop with members of the theatre's first Public Acts production and met with apprentices who are working as technicians in departments including carpentry, metalwork and painting.
In a sweet clip shared by royal reporter Carolyn Durand on Twitter, Markle can be seen asking the children how they found learning their lines.
As with her other three patronages, this new role at the National is in keeping with Markle's passions and interests.
Kensington Palace said in a statement ahead of the visit: 'The Duchess is a strong believer in using the arts to bring people from different backgrounds and communities together, and this first official visit to The National Theatre will explore the work they do, as well as meeting some of the talented teams and apprentices working behind the scenes.'
Another day, another example of Meghan making pregnancy-dressing seem like a breeze? Of course.
