To mark the opening of a brand new exhibition at La Galerie Dior in Paris, celebrating female art, the historic fashion house invited British cool girl, photographer, DJ and creator Maddi Jean Waterhouse to Paris.

Complete with an adorable Lady Dior bag (also honoured at the exhibition as an emblem of female empowerment), Waterhouse - who is the younger sister of actor and singer Suki Waterhouse - took ELLE UK along on the trip with her, showing off her vintage outfits and glamorous schedule with Dior.

Here's what Maddi got up to...

'On my way to St Pancras at 7:45am ready for a little adventure.

'I'm excited to meet everyone and to be introduced to miss Lady Dior in Paris.'

'We checked into the Plaza Athenee and I meet my Lady Dior in the most beautiful room. I was so pleased to notice my outfit complimented the room’s classic French style perfectly. I felt like a Parisian princess.'

'Not long after, we went down to the spa for massages - it was like stepping into a pastel Dior dream. Everyone said it was the best massage they had ever had.

'It was such a heavenly afternoon finished with mint tea and little biscuits. I felt so spoiled.'

'After a mandatory hotel bath, I was excited to put on my first look with my Lady Dior.

'Ry (my long distance bestie) and I were flicking through an Dior Assouline book on FaceTime and we cooked up this Dior inspired silhouette with some of my vintage pieces.'

'I sewed on pink ribbons to the back of the jacket the night before to create a synched waist and a cute bow at the back, under Ry’s instruction. I felt so powerful in this look.'

'We headed to Le Voltaire for dinner and had such a fun girly time, each with our Lady Dior bags.'

'The next morning we were up and out to La Galerie for a gorgeous tour. Seeing all the pieces was absolutely magical.

'We learned that the Lady Dior was originally called ‘The Chouchou’, but Princess Diana adored it and wore it so often they renamed it after her.

'I thought it was beautiful symmetry reflective of Diana’s experience reclaiming herself and symbolic of Dior’s empowering energy.'

'My favourite piece that I was stunned by was this Marie Antoinette inspired gown from 2000, truly my dream. I hope I will be able to step into her and do some twirls at least once in my life'

'After a beautiful lunch and last natter at Monsieur Dior, we headed to Gare du Nord.

'The trip went too quickly but my little Lady will forever carry my memories. Thank you to the Dior and team, I love you.'
