We take a look at the Senator, former Attorney General, and current Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris' signature style over the last decade
In many ways Kamala Harris' clothes and accessories are the least important things about the history-making Democratic Vice President-Elect, in contrast with her legal background, game-changing decisions she made as a senator and the fact that she is the first woman of colour to soon take up the VP post in the US.
But, her fashion credentials needn't be diminished. We can't help but be interested by the former Attorney General's signature style, and neither will, as evidenced by the reaction to other politically-prominent women in the last few years, the American people.
From her sleek suits, comfortable trainers, classy pussybow blouses, to, most notably, her often-worn pearl earrings and necklaces - dubbed 'power pearls' and an homage to her college sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha (of Howard college, one of nine African American Greek-letter sororities and fraternities, where the founders are referred to as the Twenty Pearls) - the 55 year-old has perfected her political style.
