You may remember a couple of weeks ago when the world had a breakdown over Jennifer Lawrence's amazing Versace dress.

Some people saw the image of Lawrence woefully underdressed on a London rooftop (and we can tell you, it was chilly that day) surrounded by male co-stars swaddled up good and proper, as a neat visual image of gender inequality in Hollywood.

Others, Lawrence included, thought this was hogwash, saying that there are much more important issues for us to deal with, and that scrutinising what women wear is actually contrary to feminist ideals.

Either way, the dress, which many noted was highly reminiscent of Elizabeth Hurley's iconic 1994 red carpet appearance, made quite the impression on us all.

E! news spoke to the 52 year-old actress about Lawrence's homage, and she thought it was fabulous. She told the presenters, 'I thought she looked amazing in it! Really hot and sexy.'

The Gossip Girl alumnus continued, 'I mean Versace, they still make phenomenal dresses 20 years on from me wearing that one. So yes, I was a little thrilled to see her in that.'

To be honest, the only thing we might love more than these unreal Versace gowns is this female-on-female support. Girl power or what?
