By Every summer Birkenstock sandals pop up on the feet of our favourite celebrities, influencers and fashion editors. It's fair to say they're a cult classic that never seem to go out of style.
In 2020, there was one pair of Birkenstocks that everyone wanted: the Birkenstock Arizona which normally retail for between £60 and £75, depending on whether you opt for leather or suede; white, black, metallic or tan.
Shortly after Katie Holmes was spotted wearing a black pair while running errands in New York sizes became even more scarce. In fact, many of Birkenstock's major online stockists – such as Selfridges – are still out of stock in some colourways.

The new Birkenstock Arizona is made from EVA, a lightweight material that mimics rubber and is waterproof and seriously durable. The other key component – that super comfy footbed Birkenstock is known for – remains exactly the same.
With that in mind, it's perhaps unsurprising that the sandals are selling fast. The green version has already sold out, and there's limited stock in some sizes in black, so you'll need to be quick if you want to bag yourself a pair.
Why does everyone love Birkenstocks so much? Well they're not only super-comfortable and stylish but versatile, too. From jeans to midi dresses, dungarees and skirts, they work with all your summer favourites.
