The Coolest Fringe Hairstyles At London Fashion Week
From dramatic full fringes to choppy styles, Brits have mastered the art of having bangs
Some of the most inspiring trends at fashion week are found on the street style scene (looking at you, wraparound cardigan hack). When it comes to serving show-stopping beauty looks, London showgoers never disappoint. The skies may be grey and the air may feel chilly, but we're dialling up the heat with berry-stained lips, dramatic hair accessories and fringes. So. Many. Fringes.
Us Brits are clearly embracing bangs as there seems to be an endless array of fringe styles spotted outside the shows this weekend. From choppy, textured styles and blunt-cut bangs to full fringes and side-parted versions, it's clear that fringe fever is reaching its peak. British stars such as Suki Waterhouse and Daisy Edgar-Jones have long been mainstay inspirations for fringes, so its no wonder that the fashion crowd are leaning into shorter, face-framing pieces and putting their own offbeat spin on it.
How to find the best fringe for your face
There aren't any prescriptive rules. But as a starting point, Taylor Taylor London's director hairstylist Mihaela Vatafu previously shared with ELLE that light and jagged fringes are useful for adding movement without weighing your features down. 'Blunt cuts help create structure on thick hair,' she adds, while 'layered or curtain styles blend naturally with curly textures'. When in doubt, longer fringes are much easier to grow out and always check in with your hairstylist before trimming your own bangs.
