Ever since she graced our screens as the effervescent Marianne in Normal People, Daisy Edgar-Jones' aesthetic has centred upon her signature curtain bangs. Slightly undone, and seemingly a natural gift of good genes rather than the work of an on-hand hairstylist, it's a look that mirrors her effortless wardrobe and style – a melange of modern bohemia and understated cool.

Anyone looking to recreate Daisy Edgar-Jones' hair will need to cut the right fringe as a starting point. 'A side fringe is actually best cut with a razor, as this encourages the hair to move into the desired direction,' shares Aaron Firmstone, bumble and bumble's National Lead Educator for UK & Ireland. 'To get the best effect out of the cut, you want the shortest side to highlight a key facial feature such as the eye or jawline to help enhance your features,' he notes.
Styling here is also key and a side fringe does require the work of a few tools and techniques. 'The best way to style a side fringe is to blow dry it with a flat brush, starting by brushing all the hair forward then pushing it in the opposite direction to where it should sit, and finishing off by sculpting the ends with a soft bend or flick,' he adds.
Use a Dyson Airwrap to create a uniform 'Y' shape, as per Edgar-Jones' romantic waves. Finally, as Firmstone adds, 'texture sprays and dry shampoos are the best products to enhance a side fringe.'
