As a lifelong fan of juicy, sweet scents, it's no surprise that the number of cherry perfumes in my collection has skyrocketed in recent years. After spending most of my early 20s desperately eyeing up Tom Ford's Lost Cherry fragrance, collecting so-called dupes and spritzing every time I wandered into a department store, I became captivated by its indulgent, sticky cherry notes and Lana Del Rey-coded crimson flanker. According to TikTok, I'm far from the only one.
While Tom Ford Lost Cherry holds an irreplaceable spot in my fragrance wardrobe now, my scented obsession did lend itself to a newfound thorough knowledge (and hoard) of the scent's woodier, smokier and sweeter competition. Today, I can safely say I've tried most cherry perfumes on the market (and the number has risen drastically since TF's note debut in 2018); these are my notes.
