Il 24 febbraio 2022 è una data che ricorderemo sempre per aver diviso la vita degli ucraini in in un PRIMA e un DOPO.
Chi avrebbe mai pensato che le parole sulle operazioni militari lette fino ad oggi solo nei libri di storia riguardo la seconda guerra mondiale sarebbero diventate una dura realtà nella vita della popolazione ucraina. Chi avrebbe mai pensato che 77 anni dopo la fine della seconda guerra mondiale, i civili ucraini avrebbero trascorso le notti nei rifugi antiaerei, che le città sarebbero state bombardate da attacchi missilistici e che i carri armati avrebbero marciato lungo le strade dove fino a poco prima gli ucraini si recavano per svolgere le proprie attività quotidiane.
Chi l'avrebbe mai detto che oggi noi, come la generazione della seconda guerra mondiale, avremmo dovuto imparare e seguire le regole di sopravvivenza in condizioni di guerra: sigillare le finestre delle case con il nastro adesivo per proteggerle dalle onde d'urto, abbassare, o meglio spegnere, le luci per non attirare l'attenzione degli aerei nella notte, che avremmo dovuto imparare a riconoscere immediatamente i suoni delle sirene che annunciano attacchi dal cielo, per correre verso il rifugio antiaereo più vicino.
Si pensava che l'epoca delle conquiste feudali, con l'invasione del territorio straniero fosse qualcosa che apparteneva solo al passato. Ma a quanto pare ci sono persone che vivono ancora oggi secondo i valori di quel passato.
Quello che sta succedendo in Ucraina è un crimine e deve essere fermato.
Lo shock e la paura oggi si mescolano a un incredibile senso di patriottismo e unità che pervade la nazione ucraina. Mai come prima d'ora, siamo pronti a fare di tutto per difendere il nostro diritto alla pace e all'autodeterminazione. Ringraziamo tutti coloro che sono con noi in questo momento difficile. Il vostro supporto ci aiuta a essere più forti.

Who would have thought that the words about the military operations that we remember from the history books about the 2nd World War would become a harsh reality in the lives of Ukrainians. Who would have thought that 77 years after the end of the 2nd World War, civilians of Ukraine would spend the night in bomb shelters, cities would be shelled by rocket attacks, and tanks would drive along the streets where Ukrainians had recently rushed about their usual business.
Who would have thought that today we like the generation of the 2nd world war, we will follow the rules of survival in war conditions: seal the windows of houses with adhesive tape to protect them from the shock wave, dim, or better turn off the lights so as not to attract the attention of aviation at night, instantly respond to the sounds of a serena announcing air strikes, hurrying to the nearest bomb shelter ...
We thought that the era of feudal conquests with the invasion of foreign territory was already in the past. But apparently there are people who live by the values of the past.
What is happening in Ukraine is a crime and must be stopped.
Shock and fear today are mixed with an incredible sense of patriotism and unity that has rallied the Ukrainian nation. As never before, we are ready to do everything to defend our right to peace and self-determination. We are grateful to everyone who is with us at this difficult time.
