An Exclusive Look Inside Mark Ronson and Justin Theroux’s Holiday Party at Pebble Bar

For those who don’t know, Pebble Bar is connected to 30 Rockefeller Plaza by a secret passageway, which means celebrities have a nondescript way to enter and exit the four-story townhouse. For Mark Ronson and Justin Theroux’s third annual holiday party, though, they all used the front door.

Chris Rock came through first—“I try to say hello to everyone before it’s crazy,” he tells ELLE—followed by siblings Grace Gummer (who is married to Ronson) and Louisa Jacobson (who just turned down a marriage proposal on the hit HBO show The Gilded Age and could not reveal if that changes in season 3 “on pain of death”). Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Mark Ronson’s little sister and therefore Gummer’s little sister-in-law, arrived next. Earlier this year, the Succession starlet turned her Proenza Schouler outfits into a walking campaign for the brand, culminating in a front-row seat at its fall/winter 2024 show during New York Fashion Week. Next year, though, expect to see her on the other side of the camera. “I’m gearing up to write and direct my own thing,” she reveals. “It’s time.”

As the crowd swelled to include Dianna Agron, Antoni Porowski, Delia Cai, and Nancy Whang, Theroux, one of Pebble Bar’s co-owners, poured tequila for guests himself, before taking the mic to introduce Wu-Tang’s Ghostface Killah with a shy grin. (This year’s party sponsors included Chase Sapphire Reserve, Código 1530 Añejo Tequila, and Great Jones Bourbon, the latter of which was included in the gift bags.) And while nobody in attendance would dare describe the vibe as “lit,” the entire space was literally glowing with Baccarat candles, which might explain why the mogul-loved Rouge 540 scent seemed to waft from the walls.
