You’ve spent years carefully honing your style, decor, and overall taste. Why shouldn’t your technology keep up? Featuring sleek designs that draw inspiration from natural landscapes, ASUS Zenbooks do that and more. Extending beyond aesthetics to highlight every meticulously thought-out detail, these revolutionary laptop models—and the seamless user experience they provide—were on full display during Milan Design Week.
In partnership with Studio INI, an experimental design-and-research studio founded by award-winning designer and engineer Nassia Inglessis, ASUS and the “Design You Can Feel” exhibition brought cutting-edge art to Galleria Meravigli from April 8 to 13. The interactive piece Willful Wonder was inspired by—and created from—the same material ASUS Zenbooks use: CeraluminumTM, a proprietary creation of the brand. This dynamic, high-grade ceramic-aluminum hybrid melds the strength of traditional metal with the beauty and portability of ceramics. It uses pure water and electricity, and no organic compounds, strong acids, or heavy metals are required—meaning it’s a more sustainable process to create compared to conventional methods. Its premium feel is smooth to the touch and resistant to scratches and everyday wear and tear.
To mirror the responsiveness and tailored experience of using Zenbooks, guests were invited to walk through the exhibit, where the kinetic, biometric installation reacted to their movements. Additionally, as visitors touched the Ceraluminum edging of the sculpture, generative algorithmic AI would capture each movement and map a pattern of the interactions.
Lightweight, reactive, and powered by AI, the sculpture mirrors what ASUS brings to the new Zenbook A14 – the first of its kind to feature a light (under 2.5-pounds) all-Ceraluminum chassis and the latest Snapdragon® X Series processor. The airiness, smooth edges, and soft finish of the A14 are crafted to not only enhance the tactile experience but inspire with their craftsmanship—as proof that when used efficiently, enhancements in technology can still be mindful of nature.
The installation was also a perfect thematic fit, since artists may be a prime audience for the Zenbook A14—a commuter-friendly, affordable design that will let them act on their imagination wherever and whenever creativity happens to strike. Its 14-inch OLED display and AI-powered processor will put them at ease when multitasking and managing daily workflow, without the least concern about slowdowns.
As the exhibit illustrated, technology doesn’t have to be merely functional—it can also be a form of expression. And how it functions (in this case, with power efficiency and ultra-durable Ceraluminum) should serve as a promise that it’ll be giving back more than it’s taking from our world.
