10/21: After much speculation by many highly important people in the music industry and a thrilling surprise teaser of a new track, Adele finally confirmed her new album. It's been 4.5 years since she released new music, so to say fans are positively hangry for new Adele would be an understatement. In the above letter posted to Twitter Wednesday morning, Adele writes, "My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time."

She concludes, "25 is about who I've become without realising. And I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened." So now we have it straight from Adele—the album is called 25 and it is real and it is obviously going to be glorious.

Here's that snippet of her new song again. Revel in it while you dance in your chair with joy at these developments.
