Este Haim is one of three sisters forming the superstar pop group Haim. The trio has historically been very discreet about their personal lives. Most of their stories are shared through their songs, which are often about both love and heartbreak. In 2023, Este did share some more intimate thoughts with The Cut about self-love.
“I don’t think I truly understood self-love until the last three or four years,” she said. “There’s an air of confidence that comes from just loving yourself, the good and the bad.”
But in mid-February this year, the oldest of the musical sisters revealed on Instagram that she is engaged to tech CEO Jonathan Levin. The post showed Este smiling in celebration, flashing a square-cut diamond engagement ring and wearing a T-shirt that read, “I’M TAKEN.”

Who is Jonathan Levin?
Levin is originally from the United Kingdom, where he studied at the University of Bristol for economics before attending University of Oxford, where he received a master’s in philosophy and economics, per his LinkedIn profile. Levin then moved to New York City, where he cofounded Chainalysis, a cryptocurrency company.
Talking to The Big Whale in February 2025, Levin said he “discovered crypto in 2012 at a time when only computer scientists were researching Bitcoin, which was then the leading cryptocurrency.”
Levin said he wrote a number of academic studies on the topic and “why people use cryptocurrencies,” believing this understanding would support industry growth. Levin has stated he wants to “bring greater trust and transparency to cryptocurrency markets.” He was made CEO of the company in December 2024.
Chainalysis is known for focusing on tracing data and attempting to institute safety measures around blockchains and cryptocurrency. Levin has even testified before U.S. Congress around national security and blockchain technology.
How long have they been together?
The couple has not shared anything about how they got together or how long they’ve been dating. However, fans have noticed Levin on Este’s arm at various events dating back to 2023, when he was her date at Taylor Swift’s birthday that December.
In September 2024, he joined Swift and Este in a suite for a Kansas City Chiefs game, and was seen with the friend group again that month at the US Open.
What else has the couple said about one another?
Since announcing her engagement, Este has been posting on Instagram with allusions to Levin. Her first came on Valentine’s Day, where she shared a screenshot of herself FaceTiming him in her Instagram Stories. She called him her “love,” writing, “happy valentine’s day, i love you j.”
She then posted about Haim’s upcoming album on March 12, writing in the caption, “i don’t think my fiancé is mentally prepared for relationships to be out.”
