Confirmed: Lady Gaga came, saw, and conquered James Corden's Carpool Karaoke after yesterday's teaser hinted as much. Her full segment aired last night, and in it the singer gave jaw-dropping performances of seven songs. Even Corden was in awe of some of the notes she hit during "Perfect Illusion," "The Edge of Glory," and "A Million Reasons."
Her hand dancing was phenomenal, especially when she did it while driving. (Because yes, newly-licensed driver Gaga took the wheel last night—the first time a celeb ever has in the segment.). "I don't know if I feel safe in this environment," he teased, because Gaga wasn't lying about her road rage.
Corden also asked Gaga about her eccentric fashion. "Kind of the point is to be unfashionable," she started. Then he modeled some of it. That's when it got really awkward for Gaga, who tried to be complimentary about it but...
There's so much goodness packed in this though: Crazy vocal warmups! Gaga flipping off other drivers! The humble brag that it only took Gaga 10 minutes to write "Poker Face," "Just Dance," and "Born This Way"! An a cappella rendition of O-Town's "Liquid Dream"!
