Selena Gomez is a presenter at this evening’s SAG Awards, and the Emilia Pérez actress dressed for her big onstage moment. The star arrived at the Los Angeles ceremony wearing a custom off-the-shoulder gown with a thigh-high leg slit by Celine. She accessorized with diamond earrings and silver rings from Messika.
The back of her dress showcased her tattoos:
Her fiancé, Benny Blanco, did not join her for red carpet photos.
Gomez received a nomination with her Emilia Pérez co-stars Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Adriana Paz for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
The star attended last week’s BAFTA Awards as well, wearing a Schiaparelli haute couture gown. She will present at next week’s Oscars as well, where Emilia Pérez is up for Best Picture.
Once Gomez finishes her awards season run, she’ll be debuting a new project on March 21: her long-awaited next album, I Said I Love You First, which she made with her music-producer fiancé. On Thursday, she released its second single, “Call Me When You Break Up,” her duet with Gracie Abrams.
Earlier this week, Gomez told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that the album isn’t personal in the way fans might expect. “What’s interesting about this album is that most of these songs actually have multiple meanings from different stories,” she said, adding, “so it’s not like those words necessarily affect me. It can be about something else. So I guess it’s up for interpretation.”
It took her and Blanco time to land on their first single, “Scared of Loving You.” Gomez explained, “We actually were going with so many different ideas at once, and it [the debut single] changed quite often. So I feel like it’s safe to say we probably had maybe three options that we were going to go with, but personally...it just felt like it was a little taste of what we are and how we made this together, and how much we loved it and how much we love each other. And it just felt like it was meant to be.”
