Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Gladstone Gallery director Cooke Maroney, are officially parents of two. The Oscar-winning actress has welcomed her second child, sources confirmed to People. The baby joins the couple’s 3-year-old son, Cy.
No details have come out yet about the baby’s name, gender, or exact birth date.
However, Lawrence previously expressed her joy about expanding their family, with a source telling People last fall that she is “thrilled to be pregnant again” and that “it feels like the perfect timing.”
Lawrence and Maroney, who tied the knot in a grand Rhode Island wedding in 2019, have remained relatively private about their family life. In a 2023 interview with Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, Lawrence spoke candidly about her approach to parenting and how becoming a mom has changed her perspective. “The best thing I can do is make sure [my children] know they’re loved and that they’re our number one priority,” Lawrence said. “There’s no squeezing when you have a baby. There’s just home, and it’s the best,” she added. The actress also praised Maroney as “the greatest father in the entire world.”
The Hunger Games actress has multiple roles lined up, including Lynne Ramsay’s psychological thriller Die, My Love with Robert Pattinson. She is also set to star in the A24 adaptation of Paul B. Rainey’s novel Why Don’t You Love Me? and the upcoming The Wives, a murder mystery inspired by The Real Housewives.
