On Tuesday, Jennifer Lawrence stepped out with her husband Cooke Maroney in New York City, modeling her maternity style in a long checkered dress and chic white coat. The actress was wearing a pair of heeled Freda Salvador Phoenix crocodile print boots in black and carried a black purse. For other accessories, the star wore several gold chain necklaces and a pair of gold-framed oval sunglasses. She had her blonde hair pulled back in a loose pony tail
Maroney was wearing black jeans, a long black coat, black-and-white sneakers, and carried a black umbrella to protect his wife from the rain. The couple confirmed in October that they were expecting their second child after welcoming a son, Cy, two years ago.
A source told People at the time that Lawrence is “thrilled to be pregnant again.”
“She loves being a mom,” they continued. “She’s thrilled to be pregnant again. It feels like the perfect timing to her. Her son will be 3 when the new baby arrives.”
About her relationship with Maroney, the source said the Hunger Games actor is “very happy with Cooke...They are great together. He’s super chill and it rubs off on her.”
On November 17, Lawrence attended the 2024 Governors Awards at the Dolby Theatre, wearing a body-hugging brown dress that showed off her growing baby bump.
In June, Lawrence told Cameron Diaz in a conversation for Interview Magazine that Maroney is “the greatest father.”
“Fortunately my husband is the greatest father in the entire world, so when I’m working, I don’t have any more guilt than the usual every day, all-day parent guilt,” she said.
She also talked about being a high-profile celebrity while being a mom, adding that having Cy has changed her perspective on fame.
“I was so nervous when I was pregnant,” she said. “I was getting paparazzi’d, and I was just like, ‘How the fuck am I not going to lose it on these guys when they’re taking a picture of my baby?’ Then once he was here, I realized that my energy is more important to him than anything else. So if he feels that I’m anxious before I leave the house, or I’m angry when we’re outside, that’s going to impact him.”
She continued, “So it’s actually done the opposite, where I’ve gotten a little bit more zen and a little bit more relaxed with getting photographed, because I don’t have a choice. You just have to accept it, and take a deep breath and walk. I don’t want him to inherit the anxiety and anger that I have.”
