Per La Nación, Anido Cuesta was born on Nov. 3, 1997. He is a Scorpio to de Armas’s Taurus and a lawyer who studied at the University of Havana from 2014 to 2019.
Cuesta’s mother is the second wife of Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. Anido Cuesta, as such, has accompanied his parents on official events and trips, including one trip to meet Pope Francis, per People en Español. Multiple outlets describe him as an advisor to his stepfather. Anido Cuesta’s involvement in the Cuban regime has made him a controversial figure.
Rumors of De Armas and Anido Cuesta dating first surfaced in May 2024.
In late May 2024, Cuban influencer Alex Otaola claimed that de Armas and Anido Cuesta were in a relationship, per Periódico Cubano. Otaola alleged that the 36-year-old actress had been in Cuba visiting her partner. “Anita de Armas would have stayed 10 days in Cayo Santa María,” he said in Spanish. He noted the couple would have had total privacy at the resort.
