K18 may not have a new launch, but they do have a winner on their hands. The science backed hair care brand has tapped Olympic gymnast Simone Biles as their latest spokesperson. Biles was introduced to the brand by her hairstylist, Jasmine Johnson. “I love that everybody can use [K18],” she tells ELLE.com. The virality of the brand has come from its ability to repair hair from color, chemical services, and heat—something that most people can relate to. “Over the years, whenever I’m trying to be open and honest on my platforms, I want to include everybody. It works hand in hand that If I’m saying, ‘Oh, I can use this hair product, everybody can use it. That’s what’s unique about K18,” she says. While we may not be able to do the Biles on floor routine, we can follow parts of Simone’s hair routine. She favors the Leave-In Molecular Hair Mask and the Molecular Repair Hair Oil. “I noticed my hair starting to come back to life,” she says.
Retinol is coming for your lip products. The latest launch from beloved K-beauty brand PRMR, or Primera, features a low concentration of retinol that plumps your lips without irritating them—even those with sensitive skin can slowly introduce the product to their routines until their lips can tolerate daily use. The volumizing effect also comes in part due to the formula’s collagen, an ingredient famous for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
