Personally, I love experimenting with hair color—it’s a low-commitment way to transition your everyday look from soft and subtle to hello, statement. For example, in one summer alone I tried platinum blonde, rose, and surprise, lavender hair, which I actually loved the most. Then, suddenly it felt like BOOM! Every. Single. Celeb was dabbling in the shade, too.

“Just like boxy crop tops and flare jeans, pastels and vivid shades are having a moment now because they’re kind of a mid '90s early aughts throwback,” explains texture and color specialist, Jaxcee who works with Amanda Seales, Debra Lee, and Anika Noni Rose.

Everyone is feeling super nostalgic, and I dig it. So, behold 16 unique ways to rock lavender hair, as seen on various textures and lengths. Bookmark ASAP!
